When you leave the DocSpera app on your phone, or turn off your phone all together, you will be prompted to log back in with your password after a specified period of time has elapsed. However, before that time has elapsed, you will NOT be prompted to re-enter your password.
Examples: You want to change your timeout lock to 5 minutes because you check your phone frequently and don’t want to enter your password constantly. Or, for security reasons, you want your phone to lock immediately each time you leave the app or turn off your phone.
To adjust screen lock timeout on your phone:
- Launch the DocSpera app on your phone (learn how to download the app here).
- Log in with your user credentials.
- Tap the Overview icon at the bottom of your screen to view the Settings icon.
- Tap the Settings icon.
- Tap Screen Lock Timeout and select the amount of time you want to pass before being prompted for a password again
- Tap Done.
Notes: It’s not recommended that you select a long period of time before your screen lock times out. The reason being that an open phone left out in public could allow an unintended individual to access your DocSpera account without necessarily entering a password.
